Divergent views have been trailing the emergence of Donald Trump as the President elect of the United States of America.
The result of the poll showed that the candidate of the Republican Party Mr Donald Trump defeated Democratic Party candidate, Mrs Hilary Clinton to emerge the President elect of USA.
President Trump will assume office as the forty fifth President of America, January twenty, 2017.
Commenting on the victory of Mr Trump at the Presidential poll, a former Commissioner of Lands in Anambra State, Barrister John Okoli-Akirika said that Americans voted in accordance with the dictates of their conscience.
He urged Nigerians to always take the pedigree antecedent and track record of who ever that is contesting an election very important to guarantee good governance in the country.
In his reaction, the member representing Njikoka One Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Dr Timothy Ifedioramma charged Nigerians to use their powers as the electorate during election to choose their leaders as demonstrated by Americans in order to effect the desired change in the country.
On his part, Professor Obiajulu Obikeze of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, called on the Nation’s Electoral Umpire to conduct elections in accordance with due process as exemplified by United States Electoral College.
Professor Obikeze equally opined that Nigerians should focus on using their natural resources to make Nigeria great.
The Permanent Board Member Two, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, Lady Grace Amobi told ABS that the result of the U.S. Presidential election was a shock to the world as the most popular candidate lost out.
Lady Amobi expressed the hope that United State’s Foreign Policy under President Trump will be beneficial to Nigeria as she has cordial relationship with America.
