The House passed the vote of confidence following a motion sponsored by the member representing Ihiala two Constituency, Mr Paschal Agbodike and fifteen others, during plenary in Awka.
Moving the motion, Mr Agbodike explained that Governor Obiano has revamped all the moribund sectors of the state economy like Agriculture, Tourism, Housing, among others, most of which he said were neglected by past administrations.
The law maker mentioned top on the achievements recorded by the Governor as road construction and rehabilitation, , as evidenced by the international and local recognitions, accolades and awards that have been bestowed on him.
The Deputy Speaker, Chief Hafford Oseke and the Chief Whip, chief Lawrence Ezeudu commended the Governor for improving the state internally generated revenue and for prompt payment of workers’
salaries, especially this hard economic time when many states find it difficult to pay their workers.
The Member Representing Orumba South Constituency, Princess Nikky Ugochukwu, noted that Anambrarians in the diaspora are now extending their businesses to the state because of the provision of adequate security for lives and properties of the people by the state government.
In their contributions, the member representing Anambra East Constituency, Mr Obinna Emeka, his Ogbaru One Constituency counterpart, Sir Bensn Nwawulu, the member for Njikoka One Constituency, Dr Timothy Ifedioramma and others said Governor Obiano is executing quality projects in the state.
The Speaker, Barrister Rita Maduagwu, also lauded the achievements of Governor Obiano within few years in office.
