Police To Collaborate With Anambra Govt In Sustaining Tempo Of Security

Police authorities have pledged continued collaboration with the state government in maintaining the tempo of security of lives and properties in the state.
The state commissioner of Police, Sam Okaula, gave the assurance during the familiarization tour/commissioning of the new state of art office complex at the Nigeria Police Special Anti-cultism Squad, State Headquarters Annex Enugu_Ukwu in Njikoka council area of the state. The event which attracted security operatives and other stakeholders was a moment to remind the public not to toy with their security.

CP Okaula, assured residents of the state of adequate security especially this yuletide, saying that the police would never relent in maintaining the conducive environment which governor Obiano has achieved for the state residents.
He also described security as a collective task, calling on the state residents to always supply the police or any other law enforcement agency necessary information to aid them discharge their duty efficiently even as he promised to construct a new police station along Agu-Awka axis in order to serve Awka residents better during emergency.
Mr. Okaula, ordered the release of all suspects in the anti-cultism cells, who were found not liable for accusations against them.


Earlier in an address, the commander Special Anti-cultism Squad, DSP Ali Okechukwu, who noted that the main function of the group is to tackle all secret cult related activities in the state, said they would not relent until cultism is reduced to zero status in the state. 
DSP Okechukwu, while expressing happiness on the event, commended the vigilante group in the area on their collaboration with the group, calling on the masses to follow suit by providing the SPACS with necessary information as security is a task for all. In their various speeches, some of the participants, an official of Enforcement committee on law Prohibiting Fraudulent Practices on Land and Properties Awka south, Prince Ikechukwu Ndigwe, and the chairman Non academic Staff union, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Chief Ikye Ezenwankwo, expressed satisfaction on the laudable achievement of the Obiano led administration on security. Highlights of the event were inspection of the guard of honour by the commissioner of police, and official commissioning of the newly constructed structure.
